Fort Brockhurst, is one of several forts built in the 1850-60s to protect Portsmouth and its vital harbour against a possible French invasion. Visit to to discover more about its history, and enjoy the activities…

Enjoy this multi-period reenactment weekend at Fort Brockhurst.

They’ll be lots to see and do: period camps, weapon displays, and activities for children.

Last entry to the fort may be from 3.15pm, to allow for an enjoyable experience before the 1600 site closure.

Access      

Ground surfaces can be uneven so please watch your footing. Due to stepped entrances to some rooms, all areas may not be accessible for wheelchair users, whilst others have a ramp. Car park in Gunners Way. Other parking on-road in the area. Please do not use The Range car park unless you are also shopping there. Toilets available on site but not accessible. The Range has a cafe, toilets (inc. accessible), for It’s customers only.
