Richard M. Jones is a historian specialising in lost ships and forgotten disasters. A serving member of the Royal Navy, he spends all his spare time digging through history to find evidence of forgotten incidents and has placed several memorials to such disasters around the UK. He has published nineteen books.

Dividing his time between Bridlington and Southampton, he always has many more projects in the pipeline and is a keen traveller and history detective.

This venue is step-free, with ramp at entrance. Blue Badge parking just outside. Additional parking at the rear.

Additional Information

The Alverbank Hotel is an elegant and historic Grade II listed building, overlooking The Solent. It has an excellent bar and restaurant so why not come early to soak up the atmosphere. Please arrive 10 minutes before talk start to get seated.
