Meet a former Royal Navy diver and discover the amazing stories of the men who served on the tiny X-Craft during the Second World War.
The crews of the Second World War X-Craft were willing to risk their lives to undertake missions vital to the success of the Allied Forces. The midget submarines were built and operated in total secrecy-even the volunteer crews didn’t know what they were signing up for at first. In just a few years the X-Craft attacked German battleships in the Norwegian Fjords, helped prepare for D-Day and disrupted communication in the Pacific. Conditions on board were very challenging and the demands on the crews, including trained divers, was extreme.
