Find out about Fort Brockhurst and its military heritage. Try on genuine army uniform and envisage life for a soldier and his family. Children can earn a certificate of merit in our Victorian Schoolroom by joining in a costumed lessons at 12:00 & 13:30 on Saturday and Sunday.
Then discover the fort’s current role as a major Collection Centre for English Heritage, housing thousands of fantastic artefacts that span wide eras of time and place.
Or why not enjoy a picnic and just relax in the grounds.
Hot and cold drinks and snacks available on site.
Children might also like to feed the swans and ducks on the moat.

ACCESS
Wheelchair access to ground level. One step up to some areas. Main exhibition area has ramp access. Surface areas include cobble, shingle, grass, concrete. Steep inclines up to the ramparts but can be managed with pushchairs. Dogs, including service dogs, on leads are welcome. Disabled parking on-site by prior arrangement
