Guided Walk
Meet your Guide at Green Lane Hardway Car Park, St Helier Road, Hardway, Gosport, Hampshire, PO12 4FJ
Hardway is well-known for its munition works and Elson is well-known for its forts, but this walk will concentrate on lesser- known stories from the past.
Your guide will tell you about interesting heritage spaces and features such as a 19th century house of refuge for fallen women, brickfields, a munitions railway, a smallpox hospital, an isolation/maternity hospital, post-war housing and a hanging tree.
Duration 60-90 minutes.
