Relax in this beautiful setting and be enthralled by children from Leesland and Gomer Junior School Choirs as they entertain with a medley of popular songs from the war years.
If the weather is fine, the choirs will gather in the garden of the Alverbank, set against the stunning backdrop of the Solent and the Isle of Wight. If the weather is wet or windy, the choirs will present from the sweeping wooden staircase in the entrance hall of this fine Victorian house. Either way, they will be a treat to listen to… and you can sing along with the chorus!
The Alverbank and the Stokes Bay area had important roles in both World Wars so this is a perfect setting for youngsters of today to remind us, through song, of times which were tough and harrowing on the battlefronts and the homefront.

ACCESS
Some free parking by hotel, especially suitable for disabled or elderly visitors. Also lots of ‘pay to park’ spaces on the main bay road. Close to X5 and 9/9a bus routes. The Alverbank offers a wide range of refreshment/food throughout this time. Bar snacks, full meals, afternoon teas, and delicious ice creams are all available to purchase.
