How did Gosport smell 50, 100, or 150 years ago? Why are smells, perfumes, odours, and fragrances so evocative?

In this light-hearted recorded session, Peter Cardy invites you to remember once-familiar smells like Jeyes Fluid, Lifebuoy Soap, town gas, cough mixture, and antiseptics. Rain on a dry street? Your first girlfriend’s perfume, or your boyfriend’s aftershave? School dinners, sherbet lemons, aniseed balls? Meanwhile, what was going on down below if you got the drains up? If you remember Brobat, Bronco, school dinners, horses or dogs in the street, this session is for you.

This talk will certainly jog your olfactory nose-talgia.
