Join Lesley Burton, well-known local historian, writer and lecturer on this guided walk along historic Stokes Bay seafront and into the beautiful Stanley Park. Learn about about The Alverbank and Bay House and many other interesting facts about the area and its people.

This walk will be on public footpaths with dipped kerbs at crossing points. Suitable for powered or assisted wheelchairs and buggies. Car Park by Diving Museum. Charges apply. Accessible toilets and refreshments available at Bayside Café (in car park).

Lesley Burton was involved in the very first pilot of European Heritage Days held in England, in Gosport in 1992! Two years later Heritage Open Days was officially adopted. She has remained engaged with the festival ever since. Lesley is Patron of Heritage Open Days in Gosport
