Did you know that Gosport once had a windmill as a beer house? Do you remember when it seemed like there was a pub on every corner?
At present, just six pubs can be found within the Gosport town area, but back in the days of horses & carts, 70 or more pubs existed at any one time – and that was only those within the town’s ramparts! There are currently just 36 pubs still open for business in Gosport.
Come along and learn more about Gosport’s lost pubs from entertaining local resident Dave Rowland (who visited quite a few before they became lost!)
