Fort Brockhurst, Gunner’s Way, Elson, Gosport, Hampshire, PO12 4DS – opposite ‘The Range’ store

Six artists will present new work made specifically for Fort Brockhurst using a variety of media including installations, projections and interventions which will span across different locations throughout the fort – interrupting the functional site.

Audiences will be able to explore the English Heritage site of Fort Brockhurst through artists’ responses to the site, experiencing a sense of place and reflecting on the forts past history and association with Gosport, Portsmouth and Southsea.
Space Interrupted is a collaboration between Curator Clare Sheppeard and artist Sharon Haward. The participating artists will be making new work especially for the project. Artists are from London and the South East region Patti Gaal-Holmes, Sharon Haward, Kye Wilson, Helene Kazan, Lisa Traxler and Eileen White.
