Illustrated Talk
The Alverbank Hotel, Stokes Bay Road, Gosport, Hampshire, PO12 2QT
September marks the 40th anniversary of the discovery of the wreck of the Titanic. It was this that sparked off Richard M Jones’ journey into researching shipwrecks and disasters. He will bring the story of the Titanic wreck alive for you…
Author and historian Richard Jones has dedicated his life to research of shipwrecks and other historic disasters that history may have overlooked. Over 30 years of research has resulted in an extensive archive of shipwrecks, 24 published books and 19 successful memorial campaigns, with more books due out this year.
Two new books, related to the Titanic, will be hot off the press in time for his talk for HODs!
In these books, as in his talk, Richard explores the search for the wreck and also the ships that went to the Titanic’s rescue. He will include some of the local links to this historic story.
