IN-PERSON

Illustrated Talk

Masonic Hall, Clarence Road, Gosport, Hampshire, PO12 1BB

In this 85th anniversary year since the Battle of Britain, we invite you to hear real stories from pilots who took part…

The Battle of Britain ran from 10 July until 31 October 1940. It was a military campaign of the Second World War, in which the Royal Air Force and the Fleet Air Arm of the Royal Navy defended the United Kingdom against large-scale attacks by Nazi Germany’s air force, the Luftwaffe. It was the first major military campaign fought entirely by air forces.

In this presentation by Mike Bennett, you will hear real stories from pilots who took part in the Battle of Britain, including the story of the only Victoria Cross presented to a pilot of Fighter Command…
