Guided Walk

Meet at the end of Parham Road at the edge of Forton Lake, Gosport, Hampshire, PO12 4UE

A low-tide exploration of the history of Forton Lake.

Join the CITiZAN team for a guided walk amongst the collection of abandoned boats in Forton Lake. The collection includes over 30 vessels of various shapes and sizes built roughly between the 1800s and 1960s.

Hear some of the unique stories that illustrate the wide-reaching influence and significance of our maritime heritage in both Portsmouth Harbour and beyond.

Pre-booking: Required

ACCESS

This is a low-tide walk along the foreshore – suitable flat footwear is ESSENTIAL. Surface not suitable for wheelchairs or pushchairs. Parking is on-road only and spaces are sparse.

Service dogs welcome

 

 

There is no wheelchair access, on site toilets or rest points and is not pushchair friendly.

COVID-19 Considerations

This event will run in line with local & national government guidelines at the time of the festival.
