Talk / Audio

Gosport Ferry Pontoon, Gosport, Hampshire, PO12 1EP

Join octagenarian Ken Morey for his fascinating talk and visuals on The History of The Gosport Ferry. The research will take you back as far as 1597! Learn about the Decree by Queen Elizabeth 1st granting only Gosport the right to convey passengers across the Harbour.

Ken worked on the Gosport Ferry for 30 years so, as well as historic records gathered, he has plenty of first-hand knowledge to impart about travel across this very busy strip of water.

This is held onboard The Gosport Queen, built in 1966 and the oldest ferry in the current fleet.

Talk lasts approximately 1hr.
