44. Heave! Stories of Gosport and Sail Training

IN PERSON

Show / Display

Your Space, 51-52 High Street, Gosport, Hampshire, PO12 1DF

This exhibition delves into the world of sail training—a field with deep historical and current ties to Gosport.

Since sail training can be difficult to define, Heave! brings it to life through the personal stories of Gosport residents who have experienced it first-hand. These are people who have sailed on a variety of sail training vessels. Their story is balanced with the ‘official’ description of what sail training is, along with some illustrations of tall ships sailing and trainees taking part.
