An illustrated talk on the history of HMS Daedalus airfield, with local historian, Martin Marks
Your speaker will introduce you to the history of Daedalus airfield through two World Wars and beyond, followed by the major developments as a commercial airfield and industrial and housing area.

Turn west at the traffic lights on the junction of Broom Way and Cherque Way. Up the slope, first right and then first left into the car park. Entrance is at the side of building, closest to the traffic lights. Venue is the Bradbury Suite. On the X5 bus route, but very limited in the evening and leaves a 500 yd walk.
