We will provide tours around the Bastion share stories about the people that would have served and why it was called Tragedy Bank. Walking guides available.

Information about the Bastion its role as part of the defensive ring around the harbour and Town. Stories about the people that have been part of it.

Partially accessible Service dogs welcome family friendly

 

 

The site has uneven ground and grass inclines so perhaps not suitable for some wheelchairs or pushchairs. Parking available on-road and in car parks nearby. Holy Trinity Church may be open to view for HODs and has accessible toilet facilities. Other toilets at Ferry / Bus interchange (5 min walk). Changing Places facility nearby at Gosport Discovery Centre and also Gosport Museum and Art Gallery (10 min walk – but not on Sundays). Please bring a fold-up stool or chair if you need rest points.

Additional Information

Dogs must be on leads. Open-air so suitable footwear, and outdoor clothing is advised. Also insect repellent as by water. No refreshments on site (although many cafes and shops are close by).
