Self Led Trail
Holy Trinity Church, Trinity Green, Haslar Road, Gosport, PO12 1HL
Come and see the defensive line that used to surround Gosport Town with skyline views of the area. Meet the Friends and learn about it’s past and those that manned it. Enjoy the natural surroundings and garden.
View the exhibition, and pick up a booklet to aid your self-guided tour.
The Friends of Bastion No.1 will be here to share stories and information, and allow an opportunity to see inside the magazine store. There will be new displays, and you can test your skills on some challenges.
Hear about how it became known as Tragedy Bank and Vicars Bank. It’s an ideal place to start your walk of Gosport’s Defensive line; follow the route and discover more about Gosport’s fortifications and its defences.
Enjoy the flora and fauna; why not bring a picnic and take a break?
There may even be some plants for sale…
