Royal Naval Association, 66 Fareham Road, Gosport, Hampshire, PO13 0AG
A traditional craftsman at work with stained glass. Listen as he relates stories from his working life, and then leads you through the process of creating a work of art with cut and coloured glass before your eyes…
Enjoy a potted history of the repairs and manufacture of stained glass windows in the local area, and beyond.
Stained Glass craftsman, Ross, will tell of his introduction to glass work and recount a few stories from his 23 years working on quite a lot of churches, houses and pubs. Although he was local to Gosport, Ross worked out as far as London and further afield.
Ross will then do a short demonstration of making a leaded light panel.
Once he tells you where to look, maybe you’ll be able to spot and admire some of his work in local places…
Duration 90 minutes.
