Join Lesley Burton, well-known local historian, writer and lecturer on this heritage walk through the picturesque Alverstoke Village and along the elegance of The Crescent. Learn about the past developments of the area and some of the important people who have resided locally.

Limited on-road parking in the area. This walk will be on public footpaths with dipped curbs at road junctions. Accessible for powered or assisted wheelchairs and pushchairs. Please wear suitable footwear.

Lesley Burton was involved in the very first pilot of European Heritage Days held in England, in Gosport in 1992! Two years later Heritage Open Days was officially adopted. She has remained engaged with it ever since. As a founder of this amazing national event, our local organising body have been proud to honour Lesley as Patron of Gosport Heritage Open Days.
