The Memorial Gardens, Haslar Hospital, Haslar Road, Gosport, Hampshire, PO12 2FA
Visit the Memorial Garden at Haslar to find out about the historic past of the garden and the present-day work of horticultural therapy for veterans.
The Memorial Garden at Haslar is a walled 3-acre hidden gem where healing continues to take place, long after the closure of the hospital. Using horticulture as therapy, the garden is an ideal space for a wide variety of gardening and related activities. The garden has developed and matured over the years from the care and attention taken by all who volunteer and benefit from the space.
Many of the historical aspects are still visible, from the enclosing wall to the gravestones and there will be volunteers on hand to talk to about all aspects of the garden.
Duration approx 60 minutes.
