Self Led Trail

Holy Trinity Church, Trinity Green, Haslar Road, Gosport, PO12 1HL

Walk the Ramparts, Gosport’s line of defence. Meet the Friends of Bastion No1 and learn about its history. Enjoy the views normally hidden behind locked gates on this self-led tour.

The Bastion has been restored and its original features can be seen. Come and explore part of Gosport’s heritage with a self-led guide sheet to point the way.

Friends of Bastion No1 will be there to share stories with you, whilst being pleased to hear any of your memories of the area. Find out about the plan for a community garden. There are some rare butterflies and native wildlife you may be able to photograph.

Partially accessible Service dogs welcome family friendly

 

 

The site has uneven ground it is open without any cover so suitable footwear and outdoor clothing are advisable. Some on-road parking for Blue Badge holders. Other car parks closeby. The nearest toilets are by the bus station and ferry. At some but not all times, Holy Trinity Church may be open to view for HODs, and has accessible toilet facilities. Dogs must be on leads.

Additional Information

We advise suitable footwear for grass and uneven ground. Please read all advisory notices at the site. Extra care should be taken if the ground surface is wet. Under 16’s should be accompanied by an adult.
