Meet at Gilkicker Car Park, Stokes Bay, Gosport, Hampshire

Join the Coastal and Intertidal Zone Archaeological Network (CITiZAN) team for an exploration along our beautiful, historically significant shoreline at Stokes Bay.

On this walk, from the Sailing Club to The Diving Museum at No 2 Battery, we will explore some of the intriguing remains from D-Day preparations which included the construction of the Phoenix caissons, part of the Mulberry Harbours and the embarkation of large numbers of troops.
