Guided Tour
ARP Bunker, The Avenue, Gosport, Hampshire, PO12 2JU
Enjoy a rare opportunity to investigate inside the only surviving WW2 Air Raid Precaution Bunker and Civil Defence Centre in Hampshire.
You will discover how this concrete building, aka ‘The Bunker’, was used during WW2 as a command post for air raid protection and an emergency response post by various people who all bravely worked to protect and assist Gosport’s community during German bombing raids.
This building is now home to a reference library, archive, and store for The Diving Museum, and they will provide your Guide for this unique experience. The grounds have an established wildflower garden and a bug hotel.
The venue is very small so the tour is short but very worthwhile.
Duration approx 15 minutes.
