A chance to explore the Haslar Memorial Garden and learn about the work which goes on behind the scenes to offer horticultural therapy to Tri-Service Veterans…

Find out about the history of the memorial garden and enjoy the tranquility of this special space, see how horticultural therapy aids in the recovery of veterans with physical and mental health support needs.

The trees create wonderful canopies, and the flower beds are just a delight to the eyes and nose. You can also see howt he wildflower meadow are developing and the paddock beyond, or just sit and soak up the serenity of this space.

There will be plants, produce and crafts for sale, as well as hot and cold beverages, cake and biscuits to enjoy before heading off home, having learnt more about horticultural therapy and the benefits of being in nature.

Duration allow approx 45 mins, or up to 2 hours, depending on your interest.

As this is a parkland area, please be aware it is not entirely even underfoot. Suitable footwear is advised. Blue Badge parking only on the roadway, please. Entry through the green pedestrian gates on Haslar Road. Close to the No 11 bus route.

To avoid congestion on Haslar Road please try to use the car park which is accessed through the old hospital main gate. We will have the parking signposted to the Building 80 car park within Haslar. Only those with a disabled badge should park on the roadway. Entry through the green pedestrian gates on Haslar Road. It is on the No 11 bus route.
