Lee on the Solent Historic Waterfront Walk
Meet at Elmore Car Park, Marine Parade West, Lee on the Solent, Hampshire, PO13 9BW
Find out about history of Lee-on-the-Solent and its Waterfront from a local resident. This guided walk takes you along Lee Promenade to the Old Swimming Pool site and covers many Historic Waterfront subjects and events that have taken place in Lee over the last 130 years or so. These include Browndown Ranges, Naval Fleet Reviews, Great Passenger Liners, Schneider Trophy & Cowes Week, WW2 & D-Day, Lee Railway.
Duration: approx 1 hr 30 minutes Starts at Elmore Car Park and finishes at the Leon Cafe.

No Booking Needed
Close to bus routes. Toilets, seats and places to buy refreshments are located along the walk route. Suitable footwear advised. Play Area is located at the end of the Walk next door to the Waterfront Cafe.
Whilst you’re in the area, you could also drop by The Coastwatch Lookout Station at Beach Road Car Park and talk to the Watchkeeper about their vital voluntary work along our waters and shores.
