Shore Leave Haslar in the Memorial Gardens (Event from 2017)
Show / Display
Memorial Garden, Haslar Hospital, Haslar Road, Gosport, Hampshire, PO12 2AA
Entry through the green pedestrian gates on Haslar Road.
The Memorial Garden at the former Royal Naval Hospital Haslar is run by Shore Leave Haslar as a project for ex-Service Veterans with mental health support needs. Come and see the work we have been doing through Horticultural Therapy and related activities to make this garden such a magical place for our veterans to recuperate. The garden is a real hidden gem; we have a beautiful parkland area, lovely flower beds and lots of vegetables and bees!
We will have our ‘pop-up’ shop open, selling veggies and handcrafted items, and there may even be some honey. Have a walk around the garden and find the small surprises we will have for you to find, and then have a cuppa and a snack to finish of your visit.
- Saturday 9 September: 1100-1500
- Sunday 10 September: 1100-1500
No Booking Needed
As this is a parkland area, please be aware it is not entirely even underfoot.
Dogs welcome on leads.
