Grange Airfield: Teaching the World to Fly

Gunners Way, Gosport, Hampshire, PO12 4DS

Now the site of HMS Sultan: from 1910 to 1956, this is the tale of Gosport airfield’s contribution to the progress of aviation, and the defence of this island.

The people, the planes, the humour, the heartbreak are recalled in a completely illustrated talk by John Bugg.

Fort Brockhurst, appropriately, also enters the story of a now little remembered part of Gosport’s historical heritage.
