Meet at Submarine Museum car park, Haslar Jetty Road, Gosport, Hampshire, PO12 2AS
Take part in a guided tour of Fort Blockhouse, a former Royal Navy Submarine Base.
Visitors will be told of the history of the fort from 1415 to the present day. Includes an opportunity to view Harold Willie’s paintings in the Officers Mess, and visit the chapel dedicated to RN and Allied Submariners lost at sea. Experience unique views of Portsmouth Harbour entrance and the Solent.
PLEASE NOTE The Submarine Escape Training Tank will NOT be part of this year’s tours.
Duration: approx 90 minutes. Please arrive 15mins before start time.

A walk of one mile on mainly level roads and footpaths. Sensible footwear advised. Water surroundings so care must be taken to follow safety instructions of the Guide. Stepped entrance to the Chapel and Officers Mess prevent wheelchair access to those areas. Accessible toilet and refreshment facilities are available at The Submarine Museum.
Tour aimed at adults, so no one under 16 years of age. This is a secure MOD site so security procedures will be in force. Bags may be security checked. NO photography allowed.
