Fort Brockhurst, Gunners Way, Gosport, Hampshire, PO12 4DS
This vast Victorian fort was built in 1862 as part of the defences of Portsmouth.
Take a stroll around the gun galleries, casemates and grounds of Fort Brockhurst; imagine what it would have been like when full of soldiers; walk in their footsteps across the parade ground; see where they slept, worked and washed.
Talk to the staff and find out about the work of English Heritage and discover how they look after historic monuments in their care.
This weekend will be the last chance to visit the fort before it closes for the Winter.
