Emily Hester Brodrick
Emily Hester Brodrick, (1846–1906) was an English writer. She published novels as Mrs Alan Brodrick.
She was born at Fort William, Calcutta on 15 April 1846, or 25 April. After her marriage to Alan Brodrick, she was a vicar’s wife in Godalming from 1875, and Alverstoke from 1885 to 1901. In Alverstoke she was involved in setting up allotments on the glebe land.
Emily Brodrick died in 1906. In 1907 her husband dedicated Brodrick Memorial Hall, which he and the parish built, to her memory.
