Explosion! the Museum of Naval Firepower, Royal Naval Armament Depot, Priddys Hard, Heritage Way, Gosport, Hampshire, PO12 4LE
A fascinating array of models presented by the Portsmouth Model Boat Display Team, which is affiliated to the National Museum of the Royal Navy, and has a permanent clubhouse within the historic grounds of Explosion! at Priddy’s Hard Armament Depot.
The Portsmouth Model Boat Display Team is now over thirty years old, always adapting, always ready to entertain. Since forming back in 1986, they have promoted Model Boating, in their own unique way, all around the country.
There will be a large static indoor display of models to view, not just ships and boats, but also covering aircraft, tanks, cars and science fiction based subjects.
You’ll also see some of the models in action around the site.
Club members will be giving discussions on model making, with hints and techniques for all ages, and promoting the hobby to newcomers.
Please note: Explosion Museum is not part of HODs, but it will be open for visitors at the usual charge.
