Station Road, running alongside the railway, before houses were built there. The road was called Queen’s Head Lane until Fort Brockhurst station was built – The Queen’s Head pub can just be seen vaguely on the extreme left. The big house on the right was a pub – The Blenheim – and the wall facing the railway had ‘Biden’s Beer’ or similar plastered across it, largely for the attention of rail passengers. That same building is now 3 houses. Undated.
